Manawa & Co was born from a simple truth — jewellery should carry meaning. But more than that, we wanted to create something that felt like home. Something that captured the spirit of Aotearoa — the land, the culture, the deep sense of belonging that every wāhine who calls this place home carries with her. We looked around and saw jewellery that was beautiful but empty. No story. No roots. No connection to anything real. So we went back to what matters. The koru. The aroha. The whenua. And we created something worthy of being worn by the wāhine of Aotearoa.

First Set Back
After working hard on the design we sent it away for the first prototype run. Only to come back with a ring that's quality was terrible. So we found a new supplier...

After working in the jewelry industry for over 7+ years, I saw that a lot of modern day jewelry pieces have become meaningless and have no story! So we set out to create pieces that represented Aotearoa and the culture that connects us as one.
